I am the Head of Section of Sports Medicine since 2015 and I have been appointed to Deputy Head of Department of Community Medicine and Rehabilitation since February 2022.
I am teaching exercise physiology both at the undergraduate and the postgraduate level mainly in the fileds of children and exercise, test methodology and muscle physiology.
My research focuses in investigating the effects of exercise training on hormonal and metabolic variables in children as well as identifying/developing test batteries in order to predict performace in elite athletes.
I defended my thesis in December 2012 in the field of molecular exercise physiology at the University of Athens, Greece.
