Pengju has a robust background in HVAC system design, ventilation, and the optimization of indoor environmental quality, including thermal comfort and indoor air quality. He is currently working at the Intelligent Human-Buildings Interactions Lab at Umeå University, where his research focuses on the interactions between humans and the indoor environments they inhabit. His primary goal is to promote active and sustainable human-building interactions through interdisciplinary collaboration and emerging technologies, such as virtual reality (VR), with the aim of balancing building energy consumption and occupant comfort needs.
