Sophie obtained her PhD in microbiology from Toulouse University, France. She studied the interaction between the host and the gut microbiota with a focus on a genotoxin called colibactin.
She started a postdoc in Andrea Puhar lab in 2017 to work on the regulation of extracellular ATP on intestinal bacteria. Her research interests focus on molecular biology, library screening and metabolomics.
