I am a PhD student working on developing novel antibiotics towards gram-positive bacteria.
I am an organic chemist and did my bachelor’s degree at Uppsala university where I graduated in 2020. I did my bachelor’s thesis work in the group of Dr. where I worked on method development for generating arynes under mechanochemical conditions. Thereafter I continued on the master’s program in organic chemistry in Uppsala and for my thesis work I went to Canada where I worked on synthesis of fluorescent affinity probes for imaging of membrane-bound proteins in brain tissue in the lab of Dr. .
After graduating my master’s in 2022 I started as a PhD student in Fredrik Almqvist’s lab in January of 2023 where I’m currently working on developing novel antibiotics towards gram-positive bacteria.
